The Foundation

What principles define how you live?

This morning, I started a lengthy post on my personal journey and spiritual and religious metamorphosis. The thing is, when it comes to this topic and where I was then and where I am now, it takes time to fill in all the holes and connect the thoughts into something coherent. And I got shit to do…

So, to make it easy…

I have a holistic, all-encompassing set of principles that define how I live my life:

  • I believe in right and wrong.
  • I believe that it is my duty to do right.
  • I believe in accountability and honesty.
  • I understand that my actions have consequences and I take responsibility for those actions.
  • I accept that I alone control my happiness and the outcome of my life.
  • I believe that all living things have souls, are interconnected, and are dependent on each other.
  • I believe in leaving the world better place than I found it.
  • It is my responsibility to help protect those who cannot protect themselves.
  • I respect the distinct cycle of birth, living, death, and rebirth.
  • I believe in balance.
