Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.
Given there are no Federal holidays in the month of March or April, my new holiday would be nestled in between Washington’s birthday in February and Memorial Day in May.
“Joke’s On You Day” would alternate between March 31st and April 1st, just to fuck with everyone.
“Is Joke’s On You Day on the 1st?”
“Na, it was the 1st last year.”
“Okay, but the 31st is a Sunday this year. So, when is the holiday observed?”
“Umm….”
“Joke’s On You Day” would be a Federal Holiday, meant to celebrate the disappearing art form of practical jokes and remind everyone to lighten the fuck up.
Children celebrating this holiday will go house to house, much like Halloween trick or treating. Upon answering the door, however, the kids will tell a joke or play a prank on their unsuspecting/suspecting neighbors. If the joke is well received, the kids may be rewarded with candy or money. Does the joke fall flat or is borderline mean? The ‘reward’ is at the discretion of giver and could come in the form of a potato, toenail clippings, or dryer lint.
No hold’s bar on “Joke’s On You Day”.

Sorry for the silly post. I’m a bit brain dead after today’s work day and back-to-back meetings. I held my own, but holy hell has it been a day. During my lift session after work, I even lost count of the number of sets I had completed. No- I didn’t mean reps. Not a typo. I meant sets. One, two, three. Sigh.
Hopefully tomorrow brings you more creative content.

Make a New Friend Day. This would be today for me. I just read your straightforward and unapologetic profile. That’s the type of friend I’d love to have.
