Why do you blog?
Ah, the million dollar question.
I enjoy writing. First and foremost, it’s my creative release. There are a lot of random thoughts bouncing around in this noggin. Putting them on paper allows me to make sense of the nonsensical, build lists and notes, and sometimes even create something entertaining or informative.
Blogging, for me, is like having an accountability partner. Sort of like when starting a weight loss journey or gym regimen. Daily prompts give me a starting point and a little nudge to exercise my skill. When I’m able to post content that didn’t have a JetPack push, it’s because I have something I feel that’s relatable or amusing. I plan on doing a lot more writing when life slows down. Blogging is simply a way for me to stay sharp and hone my craft.
I understand there are those who religiously pour through my content, but never acknowledge the site even exists. I like to refer to these individuals as my “quiet supporters”. Thanks for stopping by!
When you put any part of your life out in the open, there are going to be those who cheer you on, quietly or from the top of a mountain. Unfortunately, there will be those who use what you post as a springboard for their gossip sessions. To these people I say, fuck you very much. Eat a dick. Thanks for reading, blah, blah, blah. You’re welcome for providing a topic of conversation in your sad, gossipy little world. Good day.
To my dear readers who hit that like button or follow viCARIously Speaking, thank you! Like an accountability partner, you are giving me the push to keep on keepin’ on. Because, while I don’t need validation to continue posting blog content, that little ‘like’ feels like being cheered on at the gym to push out one more rep! I appreciate you, more than you will ever know!

Keep pushing your pen. Never know where or what it may lead to.

I know exactly what you mean! I’ve seen an uptick on my blog traffic since I started, completing these “daily prompts“ and I want to keep it going
